To the residents of Lakes of Pine Forest. Ezee Fiber will be continuing with the installation of their fiber optic lines for Lakes or Pine forest starting in the next several days. The streets involved are Royal Arbor Lane, Delta Springs, Boney Loch Lane, Lochridge Lane, Sunset River Lane, Harbor Glan Lane, Pinelake Canyon Circle, Windsor Grove Lane, Lakes of Pine Forest Drive, Emerald Garden Lane, Orchid Creek Lane, Waterhaven Lane, Merchant Springs Lane and Dylans Point Circle.
Utility marking will likely start on or about Monday with boring to possibly begin later in that week. Residents should also receive notices in involved areas hopefully 2-5 days ahead of work commencing on their streets. Sammons Construction will start working around 8:00 AM and not start any new bore/shoot (as called) after 4:00 PM, however will complete ones started and finish shortly thereafter. They may empty the clean water tanks used for the boring machine at the end of day, and if do so will dump directly into a storm drain so not to flush any additional debris into the drain.
We have asked that weekend work not be utilized due to residents being home, children being more active outside. In addition should our MUD operator be required because of a line being struck, response times would be longer. Should any weekend time be required, they will give us advanced notice so we can post where it will be occuring. Sammons Construction has also committed to utilize far better “Hypervigilant” traffic control and safety signage while working in the community. They were asked to be mindful of overall vehicular traffic on all streets when working so they do not impede any emergency access that might be required. They will also be utilizing the parking area at the pool for employee vehicles not required at the actual job area. We have provided them with the CFISD school bus route times so they are aware of their presence on the streets.
Sammons Construction will have their Project Manager in the community while work is conducted. Should there be a need to contact them, please call Cameron Jones- Construction Support Coordinator at office (281) 367-7388 or cell (936) 647-8910. He will contact the onsite Project manager directly.
There may be a few instances when they may need to place their machinery outside the Harris County Right of Way (ROW) and on to residents property. Should this be required, they will ask to have an ‘Authorization’ form signed that states Sammons Construction/ Ezee Fiber will be responsible for all costs to repair any damages caused during the work. It is not a waiver releasing you from recovery as previously thought. You will be covered should anything happen. Each resident will have the right to refuse, however if you do, the alternative means they will have to use will require larger/deeper trenching on both sides of the street so they can use a similar type of ‘Missile’ equipment that AT&T used years ago. So hopefully this does not occur.
Concerns have been received about the junction boxes being installed as being high compared to grade level and may pose potential for damage to box from mowers or a potential trip hazard. All boxes will be installed to ensure they should not be an issue.
Should a water supply or sanitary sewer line be compromised during construction, Sammons Construction or it’s contractors are instructed to contact Inframark immediately to report it. Inframark will dispatch a technician immediately to evaluate and request the necessary services to repair the leak. Sammons Construction is responsible to repair any residential irrigation system damage or you can elect to complete it yourself or with your irrigation repair company and submit to Ezee Fiber for restitution. To create a trackable ticket for any restoration issue or damages, contact Ezee Fiber at 713-255-7500, or email construction@ezeefiber.com. Ezee Fiber will respond within 24 hours if not sooner. If not then reach out to Cameron Jones at 936-647-8910 cjones@sammonsconst.com .
Our hopes are this next phase of work will be met with fewer challenges, issues and less frustration after the discussion we had with Ezee Fiber and Sammons Construction members."
